Earthy Challenges

The Pacific Iron Ore Corporation, our benefactor, also gave each of the Fired Up! ceramic artists raw clay straight from their newly discovered glacial lake clay deposit in Port Renfrew, B.C. Along with the clay came the request that the potters each experiment in their own unique way and make pieces to celebrate our collaboration

These works were displayed at the Fired Up! 25th anniversary exhibition, ‘What the Rains Bring’ at the Canadian Clay and Glass Gallery April 19th to June 21st, 2009.

 

The District of Metchosin also granted Fired Up! funding through the UBCM Community Tourism Program.
